If you are caught up in a relationship that’s breaking down, chances are that you will need someone who can give you advice, someone who can help you through all the issues you’ll be facing.
I’m a solicitor who specialises in all family issues from financial and property matters to children matters. I’ve been helping people through the most emotional times of their lives for 17 years, and it’s a job I love doing.
About a year ago, I was asked by Fisher Meredith to set up its new branch office in Richmond. As I live in Hampton and have a network of friends and family close by, this was a fantastic opportunity to become part of this close-knit community.
Having my base here has proved exciting and fulfilling – I’ve got to know many people living and working here and they have got to know not just me but the whole firm. We lead the Richmond Chamber of Commerce Legal Forum, and are on their executive committee, and our commercial team is often called upon to help the local businesses.
I have also spent a long period of my life in South Africa. I qualified as an attorney there too and retain many of my contacts. Attorneys (solicitors) and advocates (barristers) in South Africa often ask me to assist them as an expert on the English divorce system. Although England is now my home I still have many ties to South Africa and I have found this work extremely rewarding.
But enough about me. This is all about the help I can give to you.
I encourage my clients to take a constructive approach and will suggest mediation and collaborative law whenever it’s appropriate. This is not to say that I don’t deal with my fair share of acrimonious divorce. Unfortunately, there are many cases that involve hard fought litigation; my promise is to be there for you, to provide support and to give you the best advice for your own, very personal, circumstances.
Whatever the situation, I will try my best to craft a resolution which provides fairness to everyone involved – and cocoons the children as much as possible.
As well as traditional family work I am a trained mediator and collaborative lawyer. I do a fair amount of ADR (alternative dispute resolution) work too.
My clients have always come from all over the country but now I am seeing a lot from the surrounding areas including Kew, Teddington, Strawberry Hill, St Margaret’s and the Hamptons.
